FAQ’s

What are your hours?

We are open Monday – Friday from 8am – 6pm.

Where do I get a claim number?

Claim numbers are issued by your insurance company at the time you report your accident. Just write it down and bring it with you or email it to us with your appraisal provided by your insurance company at hello@ginoscollision.com

If my vehicle’s frame is damaged is it a total loss?

No. A car is a total loss only when the price of repairs exceeds the insurance company’s determined value of you vehicle.  Today, most cars are built using unibody (frame and body as one) construction. Our highly skilled technicians, with the aid of our state of the art computer measuring system and frame machines, can return your vehicle to its original factory specifications.

Can you match my vehicle’s paint color?

Yes, we take special pride in our ability to match factory finishes. Today’s modern factory finishes incorporate multiple layers of highly specialized paints and we have made a major investment in the finest paint system available. Gino’s constantly upgrades its technology and equipment to keep pace with any paint updates vehicle manufactures make.

Can I have damages not related to the insurance claim repaired while my car is in the shop?

Yes. Please let us know when you reach out what those additional damages are so that we can provide you an estimate to pay directly. We can also provide you with an estimate to do any mechanical work such as brakes, rotors, tires, etc while your vehicle is here.

How long will the repairs to my vehicle take?

We estimate for most repairs 7-10 business days. The timeframe to receive parts may impact that estimated repair window.

How can I get a rental car?

Insurance will pay for the rental car if you have that option on your policy or if you are the claimant in the accident. Check your policy and/or call your insurance company to find out if you have rental coverage. We are happy to help with this process if you have questions.

Is there a warranty on the repairs to my vehicle?

For as long as you own the vehicle, if you experience any issues related to the repair, please call us, we are happy to help remedy them for you.

Do I have to pay a deductible?

Whether or not you will have a deductible will be determined by your insurance company.

Who do I pay my deductible to?

If your deductible applies, it will be your responsibility to pay Gino’s Collision Center when you pick up your vehicle.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

What are betterment charges?

Parts that wear out and need replacement with time and use (i.e. tires, batteries, exhaust, suspension parts, etc) are commonly subject to betterment charges from the insurance company when they are replaced during the repair process. If there is a betterment applied to your claim, you will need to pay Gino’s Collision Center for that difference and it will be clearly identified in your insurance claim paperwork from the insurance company.

How soon after the repair can I wash my car?

If it has been painted, we ask that you wait a week to have your car washed so that the paint has sufficient time to cure.

Avoid graveled roads whenever possible for the first 30 days as chipping the finish can easily be done in the first 30 days.

Do not wax or polish the vehicle for 90 days to allow the finish to dry and harden completely.

General Post Painting Guidelines:

  • Stiff brushes could mar the finish and damage the surface.
  • Wash your vehicle by hand using mild car wash solution and a soft cloth.
  • Wash your vehicle in the shade.
  • Do not dry wipe your vehicle as that can cause scratches.
  • Avoid parking under trees or utility lines which are likely to attract birds. Bird droppings have a high acid content and will damage freshly painted surfaces. Tree sap can also damage paint.
  • Do not scrape ice or snow from the newly painted surface
